North Hills Cares nurtures kids, families, and individuals in areas north of Pittsburgh by alleviating food insecurity and removing barriers to education. We bring people together and promote community service.

We do this by…

  • Providing food and supplies to meet basic needs in our community
  • Partnering with schools to ensure that all students have what they need to be successful
  • Connecting people to resources, both ours and through other avenues
  • Creating opportunities for community members to support their neighbors
  • Ensuring a sense of belonging for all members of the community
  • Building partnerships with groups throughout the community to maximize results

Our concept is unique – we operate as a problem-solving team.  When a need is identified, we work together to come up with a creative and effective solution in a short amount of time.  The key to our long term success will be to identify people, groups, and businesses willing to adopt programs once they are up and running.

North Hills Cares values…

  • Respect
  • Inclusion
  • Collaboration
  • Responsibility
  • Learning Together
  • Shared Success

Together with friends, colleagues, experts, and community members and leaders who have helped us grow, we’ve pledged to use our experience with community organizations and service projects, our professional skills, experience and connections to benefit children and families in our area.
