🌽 What a day for our first-ever North Hills Cares Cornhole Classic! 💙

We are still blown away by the incredible turnout and support from our community. 32 teams took to the boards for a day of friendly competition, community, and giving back — and together, you helped make our inaugural Cornhole Classic a huge success!

🏆 Our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams took home some awesome prize baskets, and we were so excited to recognize our Community Champion team for bringing in the most donations for our food drive!

And the impact went far beyond the cornhole boards…

💙 More than $1,400 was raised to support North Hills Cares and our mission to nurture kids, families, and individuals in the areas north of Pittsburgh by alleviating food insecurity, removing barriers to education, bringing people together, and promoting community service.

🥫 More than $1,000 worth of food was donated for our food drive! These donations will be given to NHCC, a local North Hills church that hosts a weekly grocery distribution for our neighbors in need.

The day had something for everyone, with mini cornhole, Plinko, face painting by the amazing Grace, spin art crafts brought to us by the North Hills Art Center, and more! Our basket raffle was packed with incredible prizes, all generously donated by local businesses and members of our community.

A HUGE thank you to our hosting sponsor and community partner, Hal’s Bar & Grill, for giving us the perfect place to gather, compete, eat, drink, and celebrate. We are so grateful for your continued support of North Hills Cares and our mission.

And, of course, none of this could have happened without our amazing volunteers, donors, sponsors, community partners, tournament teams, and everyone who simply showed up to support us. You truly wowed us with the turnout and enthusiasm for our very first year.

What started as a new idea turned into an incredible day of community helping community — and we couldn’t have asked for a better first Cornhole Classic. 🫶

We’re already hoping to make this an annual tradition, and after seeing the way you all showed up this year… we can’t wait to do it again.

Important Information!

• ALL kids 18 AND UNDER* are eligible, including preschoolers(*under 14 MUST be accompanied by an adult) 
• Lunch MUST be consumed ON-SITE
• Each child is permitted to TAKE HOME ONE ITEM from their plate that does not require refrigeration
• Optional “UNDER 6 PORTIONS” will be available for our youngest lunch kids
